InGaAs SWIR Detector

SWIR (short wave infrared) detector is widely used in aerospace remote sensing, low-light night vision, medical diagnosis, agricultural industry, security monitoring and other fields. The short-wave infrared InGaAs detector has the characteristics of high detection rate, high uniformity and high stability, and is one of the ideal choices for the development of miniaturized, low-power and high-reliability short-wave infrared optoelectronic systems. In terms of the conventional wavelength InGaAs focal plane, it has developed from 256 × 1, 512 × 1 element isolines to 320 × 256, 640 × 512, 1280 × 1024 and other specifications of the area array. 2. Features of Imaging Technology Based on SWIR Detector Array

The SWIR InGaAs imagers mainly have the following characteristics:

1) SWIR imaging is mainly based on the principle of target reflected light imaging. The imaging has the features of high imaging contrast and clear details of target;

2) Imager based on SWIR quantum dots is less affected by atmospheric scattering long effective detection distance, and has strong ability to penetrate fog, haze, and smoke. The adaptability of SWIR detector to climate conditions and battlefield environments is superior to visible light imaging;

3) The photon irradiance is mainly distributed in 1.0-1.8 um SWIR band in night vision, making SWIR InGaAs detectors for night vision at aim more powerful than visible light night vision imaging;

4) Since the maturity of laser light source technology, SWIR InGaAs focal plane imaging has an obvious comparative advantage in stealth active imaging.
